Iowa licensed pharmacies, both in-state and nonresident pharmacies, are required to report to the Iowa PMP all Schedule II, III, IV and V controlled substances and opioid antagonists (e.g., Narcan® or naloxone) dispensed by the pharmacy to ambulatory patients. The Iowa PMP is used as a tool in determining appropriate prescribing and treatment of patients without fear of contributing to a patient’s abuse of or dependence on addictive drugs or diversion of those drugs for illicit use. FERPA training must be renewed every two years to retain RDS access. UCF employees who have completed FERPA and RDS Training can request access by submitting an IKM security form. The data in RDS is downloaded from PeopleSoft daily at 5:00am. RDS is a limited access area within PMP that contains student-level data related to advising, class rosters, grades, graduation, student groups, student program/plans and registration.
